D.E.A.D. SYSTEM©

The D.E.A.D. (Direct Environmental Acquisition Datalogging) System is a custom built and designed datalogging system that collects a variety of environmental readings and logs in onto two laptop computers. It collects information from the follwing equipment:

* Triaxial ELF magnetic field meter with pc interface. The meter has a bandwidth of 30Hz to 2000Hz and an accuracy of +/- 3% at 50Hz/60Hz and +/-5% at 40 to 200Hz. Data is logged using the supplied software.

* HOBO Temperature data logger from Onset Computer Corporation with data logging and
archiving ability. Software provided by Onset Computer Corporation is used for data logging
and archiving

* GM-10 radiation detector from Black Cat Systems with pc interface. The Radiation Acquisition
and Display (RAD) Software was used to log and archive the data. Radiation detected includes
alpha, beta, and gamma/x-ray. Data is displayed as counts per minute (cpm)

* Two HP Compaq nc6000 laptop computers

* Tri-field natural EMF meter modified to be data logged by the HOBO data logger

* GO! MOTION Ultrasonic Motion Detector

* Fluxgate Magnetometer Model 539 with APS software. The fluxgate magnetometer model 539 is an extremely sensitive high-speed sensor that offers many unique features that are useful for paranormal work: it samples AC and DC fields at a high rate on a multi-axis basis (X, Y, Z and SUM); it has a fast sample rate of at least 250 samples per second; it measures field strength; it can measure changes down to 0.005mG; and it measures the field strength at any given frequency. Not only can we determine changes in the field BUT we can also determine the frequency!

HAND HELD EQUIPMENT

 

DR. GAUSS EMF METER
This is our most basic unit and is an excellent model for the beginner. It operates with an easy-to-read, analog scale with a range of 0-10
milligauss. This convenient device features a colored scale so that
you will be alerted as to what readings to look for. In most cases,
the yellow portion of the scale points to readings which may be supernatural in origin. The device is activated by punching the panel on the side of the meter. Very easy to use and highly affordable for limited budgets!



IR THERMAL PROBE-METER (THERMAL SCANNER)
This new thermal scanner is the best priced unit on the market! It is pocket-sized and measures temperatures down to 0 degrees with amazing
accuracy. Essential in investigations for measuring extreme changes
in temperature and paranormal activity.Each comes with a laser sight,
4 AAA batteries and a carrying case. Takes instant readings by simply
pushing the trigger and has a back-lighted display for viewing in dark locations. Now with improved back-lit screen and pistol-grip design! No ghost hunter should be without one and it's now affordable at about half the price of other meters on the market!


TRIFIELD NATURAL EM METER
The NATURAL EM METER detects radio/microwaves and changes in extremely weak static (DC or "Natural") electric and magnetic fields. So highly sensitive it will detect the presence of body parts. What makes this unit so useful for paranormal work is the squelchable audio tone which alerts the user to activity in the vicinity of the meter. Several meters can be placed throughout a location unattended to track the movement of activity.

 

 

SINGLE AXIS DIGITAL AC GAUSSMETER / TESLAMETER
Perfect for situations needing high resolution measurements of AC magnetic fields without spending a lot of money. Large LCD display reads 0.1 -199.9 mG over the ELF range of 30 - 400 Hz. Provides readout in both mG and microTesla. Calibrated to within 4% ± 3 digits at 50/60 Hz. This single axis meter samples every 0.4 seconds when flipped on with slide switch.

 

 

 

AIR ION COUNTER
This hand-held ion counter possesses the same sensitivity (down to 10 ions/cm²) as meters costing far more. Fully electrostatically shielded, with a fan throughput of 200 cm³/sec, it can make accurate readings even in adverse conditions. Measures positive and negative ions separately.

 

 

BROADCAST FREQUENCY COUNTER

The Broadcast Frequency Counter is an excellent economical choice for 2 big reasons: it offers both a frequency counter and bargraph type field strength meter. 10 digit display gives plenty of information about the predominant incoming frequency and the very low (<0.8 mV at 100 MHz) nominal input sensitivity provides stable readings even with very small signals. Covers the entire frequency range of 1 MHz to 3 GHz. 0.1 Hz resolution on the 300 MHz range, and 10 Hz on the 3 GHz range. As a bonus, a 16 segment LED RF relative signal strength indicator is included so you can know both the frequency and the relative strength of the signal detected. Completely self-contained and portable. Telescoping antenna included, but this 50 ohm input unit can also be attached to other antennas or line with BNC connector (maximum input is 15 dBm).

 

HALL-EFFECT GAUSSMETER (IDR-309)
High linearity and high accuracy (3%) from 0-10 Hz. 4 ranges: 2, 20, 200, 2000 Gauss. 3½ digit display, yields 1 mG resolution (on lowest scale). 200 mV recorder output. Includes a 9V battery plus AC adapter. Versatile enough to classify magnets, measure residual magnetism, and check fields from DC circuits.

 

 

PORTABLE OSCILLOSCOPE
Connected to a probe (magnetic, electric or RF) you can measure voltage up to 80V AC or DC and check the waveform up to 2MHz. See spikes, RF noise, harmonics. Check for dirty power.

DATALOGGING 3-AXIS GAUSSMETER WITH PC INTERFACE (x2)
This new meter designed to provide quick, reliable and easy measurements of electromagnetic field radiation levels. Displays microTesla or milliGauss, XYZ or 3-axis, and offers: Data hold and Peak hold functions. Extremely sensitive (down to 0.01 mG, but accuracy limited below 1 mG) with range all the way up to 1999 mG. GM-10 GEIGER COUNTER RADIATION DETECTOR (x2)
The GM-10 contains a geiger mueller tube, capable of detecting alpha, beta, and gamma / x-ray radiation. Each time a radiation particle enters the sensing window, it is detected, and the software on the attached computer is informed of this event.



HOBO H8 RH/TEMP/LIGHT INTENSITY/EXTERMAL CHANNEL DATA LOGGER
Four-channel logger has internal Temp, Light Intensity, and user-replaceable RH sensors and one External Channel to accept a wide range of external sensors and cables for Temp, CO2, AC Current, 4-20mA, and DC Voltage.
